About Me — Sompa Mensah
I am a blend of STEM and the Arts
The name is Sompa Mensah, and I am a writer, digital creator, and a technology aficionado.
I wish I could add ‘dancer’ to the list of things I am but I used to be terrible at it to be frank.
And I say “used to be” because as I grow up, I feel I’m getting the hang of it.
I’m a firm believer in the idea that you can do anything you set your mind to, which means I could become the next Michael Jackson or Chris Brown before you know it.
The name “Sompa” is from a Ghanaian local language called Twi, and it means “good service”.
I have a degree in Engineering, but when I’m away from all the math and physics, I practically immerse myself in the world of creatives.
Hence my subtitle.
I love to learn new languages and I also appreciate art a lot, even though I don’t always understand it. I used to draw as a kid but I have not really nurtured that gift.
Maybe I’ll do that someday.
I joined Medium in the last week of November 2023 and I’m already loving it. Before I joined Medium I was a part-time freelance writer at Freelancer.com.
