About Me — Jagyasheni Sengupta
I spin words for a living and illustrate for survival

I woke up one fine morning and realised that I was out of a plan.
I was out of a plan for life.
Hello, my dear readers and writer friends!
I’m Jagyasheni a.k.a The utterly confused woman.
I completed my Masters Degree in Economics in 2018. That’s exactly when I realised that I was out of ideas on what to do next.
My parents wanted me to be a professor of Economics and finish my PhD.
To be honest, I never really resonated with the subject. Nevertheless, I complied.
While preparing for the entrance exam, I started writing.
I wrote when the anxiety got worse.
I wrote when my heart felt light.
I wrote when things seemed out of control.
I wrote when I was out of a plan.
While studying for my PhD, I finally (or should I say luckily) realised that I was probably not the best person for this.
When I said this to my father he asked me,
If not this, then what?
