About Me — Casie Lamp
Creative, adventurous, and a great listener
Orphaned as a teenager, I grew up having to figure everything out independently. From navigating the college application process to shaping my career goals to the daunting experience of buying or leasing a vehicle, these experiences still linger in my mind today.
I embrace that my life lessons have made me who I am today—a middle-aged woman with a fierce, quiet, and quirky sense of humor.
An introverted leader and critical care nurse for nearly 20 years, caring for the sickest patients, recovering open-heart surgery patients, working a short time as a CVOR nurse, and almost everything in between.
I had always wanted to be a nurse since I was a young girl with reddish brown pigtails and freckles across my nose. I tended to every scraped knee in my blue-collar neighborhood with pink Mercurochrome and bandaids. Ouch!
My high school counselor encouraged me to become an LPN or attend community college despite my mediocre grades and the fact that we didn’t have money to send me to college.
Everyone I knew was headed off to state schools and I was determined to be one of them, no matter what, even if it was out of state. I was a Stubborn girl.
