The Man Told Me, “When You Feel Better, You Do More,” and He Was Right!

Several months ago, I was walking around my friendly neighborhood Costco one fine Friday afternoon, and I saw a chair. I’m of the age where I can remember The Sharper Image and when they had a store in the mall.

This chair I saw looked like the one that used to feature in Brookstone, the Rich Man’s Sharper Image. It was plush. It featured cushy things for my calves. I had to remove my loafers for the feet. Similar sandwich holders for my forearms. And shiatsu action up around the head and shoulders.

“Would you like to try?” the man asked in a way that tried to hide the fact that he was the Devil himself.

I was already kicking off my shoes. He explained that he’d use the remote control to give me the full-body experience. And for the next 6 minutes? I was transported.

Seriously, I made sounds no grown man should make inside a Costco.

“It’s good, right? Imagine this in your home! When you feel better, you do more…”
