About Me — Lily
The person behind the pen.
I’ve always hated being asked to “talk a little about yourself”.
I thought it was due to my hatred of being in a box. Or due to the fact that I was a multi-passionate person who can’t be tied down to one thing.
Now, I know it’s because I didn’t really know who Lily was. Sometimes, to the point that I didn’t feel like I fit my name.
I knew some of the things I liked to do, and I found ways to enjoy my life. I also had big dreams. But I was stuck. How could I really know what I liked or wanted if I hadn’t tried everything?
Recently, I’ve had some time to slow down. Forced into boredom, and, in some situations forced me to take a long, hard look at myself. Now, I feel excited to answer this question.
So…who am I?
The basics
29, born and raised in California, but I’ve lived in five states and camped through maybe thirty of them. I switched schools every year; the record was six different middle schools. A three-year time span for my non-American friends.
Name an American stereotype, and I’ve probably gone to school with them.
