Hi, I’m Fredericka Amfo Boakye-Duah.
I’m a lover, sister, daughter, friend, lawyer, creator and, apparently, someone who has a hard time leaving a problem alone. 😅
I’m a proud African woman driven by purpose and creativity. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the joy of wearing many hats: practicing as a lawyer, founding Goro Girl, being the host and creator of The Diary of a Ghanaian Lawyer Podcast, co-founding AB Card Games, and starting Dofoyena Law Tips.
I was named after the late Prophet Frederick Kwaku Amfo, who prophesied my birth. Although I’ve often loved the idea of being known by my local name, Nana Akua, I keep my English name in honor of him.
I think I have always had this instinct to make things easier for people.
Back in Senior High School, I spent time reading out and recording books for visually impaired students when braille or audiobook versions were unavailable. I did not think much of it at the time. Looking back, I realise that I have always been drawn to finding solutions when something is not working.
That habit followed me into adulthood.
