About Me — Farhad Pereira
Faithful, Friendly and Sometimes Furious.
I’m writing about myself to strangers. Oh, I mean, I was writing to strangers because once you read this, you might know everything about me. How should I start? I don’t know. Let me take a deep breath first.
Breaths heavily
Okay, here we go.
Hi everybody, I’m Farhad Pereira, and when people hear my name, they ask me only one thing. Are you Catholic or a Muslim?” It’s always been that way, but the reason was my father. He received that name, and since then, it has become the most frequently used and called-out name, at least to my knowledge. I’m a 21-year-old BAF Graduate with some dreams that I want to turn into reality. I’m the middle child in my family, sometimes ignored, mostly dependent. I’m that kind of guy you would usually feel bored being with. Why?
No social media. No partying. No late-night adventures. Not interested in clicking photos. Just No. No. No.
Yes, it’s true! I am this — Guy. But. I love doing things that bring me joy, and I hold onto those memories tightly so I can lean on them during hard times.
Going for a walk. Listening to music while doing household work. Going for a climb over the mountains — all alone. After college, I enjoyed being alone. It is not because of a lack of interest in life, but because it prompted deeper reflection on myself, my choices, decision-making, and even pursuing my dreams.
I discovered my hidden talent for writing this year, and honestly, I was surprised to find that I could write about profound topics that offered valuable life lessons. And after some great months, I have made some progress and improvement in it.
Coming back to my family, being with my mom’s relatives is more fun than being with my dad’s. You know, my dad is a bit harsh sometimes, or mostly? No, I mean always. Going to my native place, which is Mangalore, makes me feel really, really great. The bond between us, the plans we make, and the fun we have are just unforgettable. During my school days, we used to go there every year for two and a half months. But I said school, right? Now it happens every couple of years; last time we went was in 2023.
Sighs. It feels really odd and unfair, but that’s reality. Things can’t revolve around you, right? Or can it? Yes! They can — in your dreams.
Oh, talking about dreams, you guys know, dreaming might be really hard when it comes to your career. If I tell you how many wrong choices I made, you might laugh.
First CA, then a priest, then a cost accountant, then again CA. Really, I won’t lie; these were my “career” choices. But now, as I’m a student again, I miss those days when I was a student with no stress, being in school, along with “real friends”, no thoughts on work, life, and future, just living the way you were. Life is moving a bit fast, don’t you think?

But. But I won’t run. I promise. From all the bad choices, unforgettable problems and memories, silly, stupid regrets and — should I put et cetera? I think I should. Yes! That’s me all over the place. Nothing to hide, nothing more to say. Or should I break it down in a whole different way?
ME — I am someone who wants people to remain true to themselves.
Dream — a professional and an author — one day.
Friends — I didn’t count my friends because I seemed to make a friend everywhere I went. Not looking at religion, looks, or gender. I love people — sometimes.
Family — In a family of six, I’m the middle child, I can often feel a bit dependent and sometimes overlooked. However, I love participating in family gatherings — when everyone is involved — though that’s not always the case.
Hobbies — I used to be good at art, but now I focus on writing, music, and watching movies and shows which my parents don’t love.
I Love — love spending time with family, friends, and nature, but I also cherish moments of loneliness.
I hate — Whatever is not written in “Things I love”
Type — I’m single and experience many emotions: 50% loving, 25% friendly, 20% caring, 3% annoying, and 2% angry. I try my best to avoid being in that two percent. Trust me.
Future — I can’t predict the future, and I don’t even have the time stone to help.
A small Note for the readers — Listen, as you read this, I want you to know that no matter how weird or stupid or anything that makes you feel bad, remember, you still belong here. Fit in everything you do. I know what it’s like when all feels lost, but trust me — bad days must pass so that only the best days remain. Whether it’s a painful memory or a regret, no matter what you’ve been through, you can always return.
Talking about returning, it’s time for me to go, but don’t worry; as everyone is saying, I would say this as well:
I will return in Avengers Doomsday!
Thanks for reading.
